If you’re running an ecommerce store, each sale you make can help you get the next. Through word of mouth, reviews and through sharing those reviews on Facebook you can grow your sales considerably – with a snowball like effect.
Here’s how.
You can take advantage of a technology called email autoresponders to do this: setting up emails in advance that are automatically sent out when certain events occur.
The first email you should set up is an email that goes out a set period of time after the order is paid for, dispatched and the order received by the customer.
The email should thank the customer for their order, include a positive message about the product they would have received be using, and then ask them for a review. Reviews are an important part of the process of building trust for your products and services to demonstrate the credibility of both your website and your products. Although the popularity of online selling is increasing, many people are still wary of online sellers and real, positive reviews are a way to do that.
Once you have reviews of products on your website, the next step is to ensure that people see them as credible. The way to do that is to get people to share those reviews with their friends and people they trust, through social websites like Facebook.
The way you can do this is send out another automatic responder email to the person who completed the review – to ask them to share the review with others they may know on Facebook. A review from a friend is a positive referral from someone they know, and is better than a review from a stranger.
