Its tough to build customer loyalty online, but reward points are one proven way that’s improving sales conversion rates, and rates of return business for online shopping cart stores.

We’re pleased to announce that on top of Ozcart’s store credit system (which is useful for store owners who wish to offer store credits for returns and exchanges), Ozcart shopping cart software now has a built in loyalty and rewards programme.

This means loyalty store programmes are no longer out of reach for small or medium store owners.

Ozcart’s loyalty and rewards points programme allows you to do all of the following:

  • Set the earning rate for loyalty points across your store
  • Set the earning rate for loyalty points per category
  • Set the earning rate for loyalty points on specific categories
  • Set the earning rate for loyalty points per customer
  • Disable redemption of loyalty points for a period of time – useful if you’re running a special sale for example or issuing a special limited time collection of products
  • Allow customers to see their points balance in their account histories
  • Approve points before they are added to customer balances
  • Automatically approve points earned after a certain period of time
  • Turn off loyalty points if you don’t want to use them.

Loyalty points are a reason for people to sign up an account with you and not just buy as a guest customer, which helps you start a customer relationship with them.
