The image of your online website will be as important as the features in your shopping cart.   • Brands: What brands do you sell?
  • Your brand: What image does your business project: does it seem professional?

Ultimately the others items all converge on the last one: does your business seem professional enough to trust? Brands and images affect all of us in our buying decisions even if we think they don’t as they operate at a subconscious level.  Psychology tells us that people tend to feel more comfortable with something that is familiar, which is why you see the same advertising over and over and over: if you tell someone something over and over they may be more likely to warm to it. Familiar brands are more purchased. Warm and comforting environments encourage greater sales.

The implication for your business is that no matter what cart you choose you need a professional design, great content and plenty of reassurance for your customers. Give them what they want and they will be more comfortable buying from you, more satisfied when they get what they bought, and more likely to return and buy from you again.
